Yummy
My family and I immensely enjoyed this restaurant. The vibe was cool and friendly, and there were a few tables set up on the sidewalk. On the whole, the food was good and the service (through a very busy lunch hour) was satisfactory. Both of the soupes du jour were vegan and excellent. The escalope de seitan was especially wonderful, as my two-year-old can attest to! We noticed some vegan desserts and coffees on the menu, but didn’t have a chance to try any (next time for sure). We can’t wait to return to La Victoire Supreme du Coeur -- if you go there, save us a table!

"Victory food!"
For any vegetarian or vegan visiting Paris I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. I can only describe it as a blessingful oasis. It was a life saver for me during my short weekend visit where I had big problems in finding anywhere suitable to eat and I patronised it twice. It is tucked into a side street (not too difficult to find, so don't let that put you off) north of Notre Dame. The food was delicious and in perfect portion sizes. A superb balance between recognisable vegetarian/vegan food and something a bit different, with a French slant. The menu was in French and English and offered vegan options. I will refrain from making any specific recommendations from the menu as it is personal choice and you should see how you feel when you see the menu. There was a perfect atmosphere inside. The pictures and photographs on the wall were beautiful. Good comfortable chairs. The service was perfect - non-assuming, attentive when needed, friendly but far from overbearing. In fact the staff were beautifully calming which was marvellous to encourage a properly eaten meal in a relaxed environment, as was the gentle music. All staff spoke fine English (though were graciously accepting of my attempts to practice my French when I saw the opportunity). I make no apologies for the praise and gratitude I offer to this restaurant. Even if you are not seeking a respite from busy Paris I heartily recommend a visit.

This was a very nice restaurant with a great, clean atmosphere, very good service, many egg dishes, souffles and quiches, salads and everyday there is one vegan dish on the specials menu. There are three plats du jour on the menu, and there is a TV running in the restaurant of Sri Chinmoy. (I think the restaurant is run by the followers of Sri Chinmoy). There are his books for sale at the counter. The decor is all white with garden tables and a glass window, and it is situated on a side street in a good shopping district. (the first arrondisement). I ordered the vegan dish and ate there twice in one day and enjoyed it very much.

La Victoire Supreme du Coeur (41, rue des Bourdonais 75001, 01.40.41.93.95) right near The Louvre boasts the cheeriest, sunniest decor and service on either side of the ocean. Original artwork by, and photos of, the spiritual leader Sri Chimnoy adorn the walls as his good ways infuse every inch of this friendly restaurant. We shared a "Shepard's Plate" of two "sausages," vegetarian pate, couscous, split peas and a beautiful green salad topped with juliennned zucchini, carrots, and beets. Yes, we do love meat substitutes, so here we tried their "Escalop" (seitan dinner) which was served with tomato sauce and crispy fried potatoes (though not french fries!). We had fresh juices and our bill was 159FF.
